  When I tell you that this is my go to spot whether I want breakfast, lunch or dinner!!! There food is so good and so affordable. 2 people can easily have a huge amount of breakfast for less than $20 (including drinks).
  
  The staff is always friendly and personable and for you smokers... They DO have a smoking side so you can eat until you are stuffed and smoke while you do it!!!

  I was a bit confused when I pulled into a parking space and saw what appeared to be two front doors.  Then I saw the sign denoting the smoking entrance.  Once I entered the non-smoking entrance the confusion mounted when I saw Ross or TJ Maxx kind of merchandise for sale.  We seated ourselves in booth-style seating whose walls were aligned with more merch. Reminding myself that I was there for breakfast, I zeroed in on the menu, whose prices were shockingly low and whose offerings were plentiful.  I was starving so I ordered a combo platter which came with 2 eggs, 2 sausage links, 2 strips of bacon, potatoes, and a biscuit.  I got a multigrain pancake, which was a shockingly low $1 extra and added cheese and an extra egg.  The food came out as ordered.  The pancake had cinnamon, which added to the flavor and was really good.  The potatoes were cooked perfectly, having just the right amount of crisp.  The bacon was great--not overly crispy.  The sausage links were large and also tasted good.  The eggs with cheese were perfect--not runny or too dry.  The service was friendly and it's the kind of place where they rib one another while serving customers, which adds to its no-frills charm.  I'd say this place was a pleasant surprise and not the story I was expecting based on the book's cover.  Definitely heading back for the multigrain pancakes and the perfectly-cooked potatoes--best I've had of either in the Atlanta area.

  3.5 stars? How? Seriously, how? How does this place not have a negative rating?
  
  I'm being objective. I'm ignoring the the cluttered junk filling this place to the brim, I'm ignoring the racist looks we got for being an interracial couple from the workers and the other diners, I'm ignoring the bugs literally crawling around the restaurant, I'm ignoring the creepy shack they call a restaurant (no windows?), and I'm even ignoring the terrible, terrible service.
  
  Ignoring all that, and I still have nothing positive to say. I got a burger. How do you slap a burger together so poorly? As I was eating it, I genuinely wondered how horrible my bowel movement was going to be later. I could taste the extremely low quality beef (probably horse) they used to construct this 'thing' and was actually afraid it would never come out me. I only ate the whole thing because of how hungry I was.
  
  I solemnly vow that I will never step foot in this nightmare ever again. The fact that a chainsaw-wielding murderous clown didn't pop out of the kitchen and begin work on serving up the next batch of customers to the next batch of customers truly continues to surprise me. I've never felt more like a survivor.

  5 stars EASY, for portion size for the price and friendliness of the staff, HOWEVER, dining is a total experience!
  
  Vittles is housed in what has to be the 1st building EVER zoned in Cobb County to serve as a restaurant.  The restaurant is old, dark and cramped.  I only saw 2-legged occupants, but if there were other, alternate residents or occupants, I wouldn't be AT ALL surprised.  (I looked for a health score, but didn't see 1...That could have been an oversight on my part though!?)
  
  Another thing I wasn't real keen on, is you CAN smoke in the dining area - REALLY, in 2017 - REALLY!?!?!?  I'm trying VERY hard to not type any expletives, because my true feelings about that piece, MANDATE profanity!
  
  In summation, if you want a GREAT serving, of good food, for a good price, with attentive customer service and don't consider yourself uppity, high class, pretentious or too good for "common" dining, by all means drop in.  I'd go again...

  I LOVE VITTLES! I'm truly heartbroken that Vittles has closed. They had the best staff, great food and a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you Vittles for always making my family and friends feel at home.
